Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45364 was sufficient for detection of PP5 in 15 µg of human A431 lysates by ECL analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 58 kDa.
Target Information
The PP5 gene encodes a serine/threonine phosphatase belonging to the protein phosphatase catalytic subunit family. These proteins participate in pathways regulated by reversible phosphorylation at serine and threonine residues, which are involved in cell growth and differentiation. PP5 is implicated in hormone and stress response signaling pathways, and elevated levels may be associated with breast cancer development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
