Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45365 was sufficient for detection of PP5 in 15 µg of human A431 lysates by ECL analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 58 kDa.
Target Information
This gene encodes a serine/threonine phosphatase belonging to the protein phosphatase catalytic subunit family. These proteins participate in pathways regulated by reversible phosphorylation at serine and threonine residues, involved in cell growth and differentiation. The PP5 protein participates in signaling pathways responsive to hormones or cellular stress, and elevated levels may be associated with breast cancer development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
