- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45366 was sufficient for detection of PP5 in 15 µg of human A431 lysates by ECL analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 58 kDa.
Target Information
This gene encodes a serine/threonine phosphatase belonging to the protein phosphatase catalytic subunit family. These proteins regulate pathways through reversible phosphorylation at serine and threonine residues, which are critical for cell growth and differentiation. PP5 participates in signaling pathways responding to hormones or cellular stress, and elevated levels may be associated with breast cancer development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
