Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human JAM-A, recombinant mouse JAM-B, and JAM-C is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CD321 (F11R, JAM-1, JAM-A) is a cell-surface adhesion molecule belonging to the Ig superfamily of receptors. It is a 32–41 kDa glycoprotein with two extracellular Ig-like domains, a transmembrane region, and a short cytosolic tail. The protein assembles at the membrane as a homodimer and can associate laterally with other membrane proteins including integrins.
CD321 is expressed on leukocytes, platelets, erythrocytes, stem cells, epithelial and endothelial cells, and mediates cell-cell contact. It is closely associated with tight junction components such as ZO-1 and occludin, and plays roles in maintaining epithelial and endothelial barriers, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and tumor proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
