Target Information

SRPK2, along with SRPK1, is a cellular protein kinase mediating HBV core protein phosphorylation during viral infection. It is an important host cell target for therapeutic intervention in HBV infection.
Promotes neuronal apoptosis by up-regulating cyclin-D1 (CCND1) expression through phosphorylation of SRSF2, leading to suppression of p53/TP53 phosphorylation.
Phosphorylates ACIN1 and redistributes it from nuclear speckles to nucleoplasm, resulting in cyclin A1 up-regulation.
Plays an essential role in spliceosomal B complex formation via phosphorylation of DDX23/PRP28.
Negatively regulates HBV replication by reducing packaging efficiency of pregenomic RNA (pgRNA) without affecting viral core particle formation.
