Product Specific Information
The antibody detects a 120 kDa protein corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Sema-6A on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of Sema-6A transfected COS7 cells, human colorectal cancer cells, and rat PC12 cells. In addition, shRNA knockdown of Sema-6A expression significantly reduces detection of Sema-6A using anti-Sema-6A (C-terminus) antibody.
Target Information
SEMA6A acts as a repulsive axon guidance cue and may play a role in channeling sympathetic axons into the sympathetic chains and controlling the temporal sequence of sympathetic target innervation.
