EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor)는 다양한 성장 인자에 반응하여 신호를 전달하는 수용체 티로신 키나아제입니다. 과발현은 여러 암종과 관련되어 있으며, EGFR은 생물학적 및 저분자 치료제의 표적입니다.
EGFR 유전자는 인간의 염색체 7에 위치하며 HER/ErbB 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다 (ERbB2, ERbB3, ERbB4 포함).
EGFR은 막 관통형 수용체로, EGF 및 TGF-α 등의 리간드 결합에 의해 이합체화 및 세포질 도메인의 티로신 잔기 자가인산화가 유도됩니다.
과발현은 두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 외음부, 난소, 식도, 위 및 편평세포암 등에서 관찰됩니다.
