For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Cytokeratin 18 (Keratin 18, KRT18, type I cytoskeletal 18) is a type A (acidic) low molecular weight keratin that pairs with cytokeratin 8.
It is expressed in epithelial tissues of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urogenital tracts, as well as in endocrine, exocrine, and mesothelial cells.
Cytokeratin 18 is commonly found in non-squamous epithelia and in most adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas, but not in squamous cell carcinomas.
Hepatocellular carcinomas express only cytokeratins 8 and 18. Mutations in the KRT18 gene are associated with cryptogenic cirrhosis.
Expression profiling of cytokeratin subtypes is valuable for distinguishing epithelial malignancies, aiding in tumor diagnosis, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
