This antibody detects endogenous levels of total RhoH.
Target Information
The Rho subfamily of small GTP-binding proteins mediates many fundamental cellular functions. Members such as Rho, Rac, and CDC42 regulate actin reorganization and influence cellular adhesion, cytokinesis, and motility.
RhoH (also known as TTF, Rho-related GTP-binding protein, or ras homolog gene family member H) is distinct from other small G proteins in that it is expressed only in hematopoietic cells and tissues. Translocations and frequent RhoH mutations have been reported in primary lymphoma cells, and expression has been noted in activated neutrophils.
RhoH is GTPase-deficient, remaining in a GTP-bound active state without cycling. It may play roles in T-cell differentiation and cytoskeleton organization. The RhoH/TTF (ARHH) gene is located on chromosome 4p13 and encodes a 191-amino acid polypeptide.
