Target Information
Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC)는 TSC1 또는 TSC2 종양 억제 유전자의 돌연변이에 의해 발생하는 상염색체 우성 종양 증후군입니다. 이 유전자 산물은 단백질 복합체를 형성하여 세포 성장과 세포 주기를 조절하는 mTOR 신호 전달을 간접적으로 억제합니다.
TSC1/TSC2 복합체는 Rheb GTPase 활성을 자극하여 TOR 활성을 감소시키며, TSC1 및 TSC2의 과발현은 Rheb에 결합된 GTP/GDP 비율 감소 및 세포 성장 억제를 유도합니다.
40 kDa의 짧은 형태의 TSC1이 존재하지만 그 기능은 알려져 있지 않습니다.
