PEP-1117 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-21003.
Target Information
The coiled-coil domain is a common protein motif involved in protein oligomerization and found in proteins such as transcription factors and intermediate filaments.
CCDC106 was initially identified as a p53-interacting protein by yeast two-hybrid screening. Further studies showed CCDC106 co-localizes and interacts with p53 in the nucleus, inhibiting its transcriptional activity and promoting p53 protein degradation.
This indicates that CCDC106 may function as a negative regulator of p53.
