Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
RNF166 (RING finger protein 166) is a 237 amino acid protein containing one RING-type zinc finger and a UIM (ubiquitin-interacting motif) repeat. It exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 16q24.3. Chromosome 16 encodes over 900 genes, comprising nearly 3% of the human genome. The GAN gene located on chromosome 16 is associated with giant axonal neuropathy, while Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome and Crohn’s disease are also linked to this chromosome.
