Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
LLGL1 is a protein similar to a tumor suppressor in Drosophila. It is part of a cytoskeletal network and associates with nonmuscle myosin II heavy chain and a kinase that phosphorylates this protein at serine residues. The LLGL1 gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17.
LLGL2 is a protein homologous to lethal (2) giant larvae in Drosophila. In flies, its ability to localize cell fate determinants is regulated by atypical protein kinase C (aPKC). In humans, LLGL2 interacts with aPKC-containing complexes and localizes to the cortex in mitotic cells.
