For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase belonging to the SRC-related TEC subfamily.
Mutations in BTK are linked to severe developmental blocks in human B-cell ontogeny and immunodeficiency disorders.
BTK interacts with toll-like receptor (TLR) family members such as TLR4, 6, 8, and 9, which are critical in innate and adaptive immunity.
It also interacts with proteins involved in TLR4 signal transduction (MyD88, TIRAP, IRAK) but not TRAF-6, indicating BTK’s role in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.
