Target Information

VISTA (V-domain Ig containing suppressor of T-cell activation), also known as B7-H5 or PD-1H, is a product of the VSIR gene.
Although VISTA shares sequence homology with PD-L1, its expression pattern differs. In both mouse and human, VISTA is predominantly expressed on hematopoietic cells—highest on myeloid cells and lower on T cells, absent on B cells.
VISTA on antigen-presenting cells directly suppresses CD4/CD8 T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, making it a potential cancer immunotherapy target.
Reported ligands include CD28H, VSIG-3, and VSIG-8.
