Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human sDLL-4. Anti-Human sDLL-4-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hsDLL-4 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human sDLL-4 (500-P279) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hsDLL-4.

Western Blot:
To detect hsDLL-4 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hsDLL-4 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), also known as Delta-4, is a homologue of the Drosophila delta protein and functions as a transmembrane ligand to the Notch1 receptor. DLL4 is expressed in the vasculature and plays a critical role in vascular development. It is induced by VEGF as a negative feedback regulator to control angiogenic sprouting and promote differentiation of vascular networks. DLL4 is strongly expressed in tumor vessels of clear-cell renal tumors and bladder cancer. Inhibition of DLL4 increases vascular proliferation but leads to defective vessel maturation, reducing tumor growth without apparent toxicity.
