Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Temporally regulated transcription and translation of several testis-specific genes are required for the formation of mature spermatozoa.
SPANXB1 is a member of the SPANX family of cancer/testis-associated genes located on chromosome X.
SPANX proteins are testis-specific and localize to various subcellular compartments.
SPANXB1 maps to chromosome X adjacent to SPANXB2, which appears to be a duplication of the B1 locus.
SPANXB genes contain an additional 18 nucleotides compared to other family members.
Although SPANXB1 has nuclear localization signals, it predominantly localizes to cytoplasmic droplets of ejaculated spermatozoa, serving as a marker for studying sperm structure and spermatogenesis.
