Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Carboxypeptidases are enzymes that hydrolyze C-terminal peptide bonds. The carboxypeptidase family includes metallo-, serine-, and cysteine-type enzymes.
Based on substrate specificity, they are classified as carboxypeptidase A (cleaving aliphatic residues) or carboxypeptidase B (cleaving basic amino residues).
CPB2 is activated by trypsin and acts on carboxypeptidase B substrates. After thrombin activation, the mature protein downregulates fibrinolysis.
Polymorphisms have been reported in its gene and promoter region.
