Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Retinoids act through ligand-dependent transcription factors such as retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and retinoic acid receptors (RARs). Tazarotene-induced gene (TIG) proteins, also known as retinoic acid receptor responder proteins, can be membrane-bound or secreted. These proteins function as tumor suppressor genes and are highly expressed in skin, hair follicles, endothelial cells, pancreas, spleen, and intestine. TIG2 is a secreted protein primarily expressed in epidermis, hair follicles, and endothelial cells. It is inhibited in psoriatic lesions and activated by tazarotene, mediating the growth-suppressive effects of retinoids.
