Target Information
PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase that regulates the endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response by mediating dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK, thereby inactivating its kinase activity.
It participates in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signal transduction cascades and modulates EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling involved in cell reorganization and repulsion.
PTP1B also regulates hepatocyte growth factor receptor (MET) signaling via dephosphorylation.
