Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45208 was sufficient for detection of HSP70 in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 70 kDa. May detect HSP70, HSC70, Grp78, and HSP72.
Target Information
HSP70 is a heat shock protein expressed in response to various biological stresses, including high temperatures. The HSP70 family includes HSP70, HSP72, HSC70, GRP78, and HSP75, all of which are highly conserved across organisms.
HSP70 stabilizes existing proteins against aggregation, assists in folding newly translated proteins, and participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. The HSP70 gene is located in the MHC class III region alongside related genes encoding similar proteins.
