Target Information
CD14는 55 kDa GPI-결합 당단백질로, 성숙한 단핵구, 대식세포 및 호중구 표면에서 지속적으로 발현됩니다.
다기능성 LPS 수용체로 작용하며, 혈청 내에서 분비형 및 GPI-결합형으로 존재합니다.
CD14는 LBP에 의해 촉매되는 반응에서 LPS와 결합하며, sCD14는 LPS의 구조적 차이를 구별하여 혈청 내 외래 LPS를 중화하는 데 중요합니다.
또한, CD14는 세포자멸(apoptotic cell)에 결합할 수 있으며, 알레르기, 염증 및 감염성 과정에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.
대체적 스플라이싱으로 동일한 CD14 아이소폼을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변형이 존재합니다.
CD14 기능 이상은 Mycobacterium chelonae 감염 및 크룹(Croup)과 관련이 있습니다.
