Target Information
In vertebrates, homeobox genes are organized into clusters (A, B, C, and D) on four separate chromosomes. Expression of these transcription factors is spatially and temporally regulated during embryonic development.
HOXA3, part of the A cluster on chromosome 7, encodes a DNA-binding transcription factor involved in gene regulation, morphogenesis, and differentiation.
