- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 min.

Cadherins are a family of Ca²⁺-dependent adhesion molecules essential for cell–cell binding, structural maintenance, and morphogenesis.
Cadherin-16 (Ksp-Cadherin) is a type I membrane protein expressed specifically in the kidney, localized to the basolateral membrane of renal tubular epithelial cells.
The human Cadherin-16 gene maps to chromosome 16q21–proximal 16q22, while the mouse homolog is located in a syntenic region of distal chromosome 8.
