Product Specific Information
Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to an antibody concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
ATP1A1, also known as Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase alpha-1 subunit, belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases and the Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase subfamily.
Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for establishing and maintaining the electrochemical gradients of Na⁺ and K⁺ ions across the plasma membrane.
These gradients are essential for:
- Osmoregulation
- Sodium-coupled transport of various organic and inorganic molecules
- Electrical excitability of nerve and muscle cells
This enzyme consists of two subunits:
- A large catalytic subunit (alpha)
- A smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta)
GenScript Rabbit Anti-ATP1A1 Polyclonal Antibody is developed in rabbit using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide within residues 800–850 of human ATP1A1 (Swiss Prot: P05023).
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases and the subfamily of Na⁺/K⁺ ATPases.
Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for maintaining electrochemical gradients of Na⁺ and K⁺ ions across the plasma membrane.
These gradients are crucial for:
- Osmoregulation
- Sodium-coupled transport
- Electrical excitability of nerve and muscle
The enzyme is composed of:
- A large catalytic subunit (alpha)
- A smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta)
The catalytic subunit of Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase is encoded by multiple genes.
This gene encodes the alpha 1 subunit, and multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
