Target Information
SAP30L (Sin3-associated protein 30-like) is a TGF-β upregulated mRNA species. It contains a predicted nuclear localization signal sufficient for nuclear transport. Due to its nuclear localization and homology to SAP30, SAP30L is believed to recruit the Sin3-histone deacetylase complex to specific co-repressor complexes in response to TGF-β, contributing to the silencing of proliferation-driving genes in differentiating intestinal epithelial cells.
