CDC42는 작은 Rho GTPase로, 하위 효과 단백질과의 상호작용을 통해 F-actin 구조 형성을 조절합니다. 이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 CDC42 effector protein인 Borg family에 속하며, CRIB (Cdc42/Rac interactive-binding) 도메인을 포함합니다. CDC42 및 ARHQ/TC10과 상호작용할 수 있으며, 섬유아세포에서 발현 시 위족(pseudopodia) 형성을 유도하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
