Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
This gene encodes two principal proteins of the dentin extracellular matrix of the tooth. The preproprotein is secreted by odontoblasts and cleaved into dentin sialoprotein and dentin phosphoprotein. Dentin phosphoprotein is involved in the biomineralization process of dentin. Mutations in this gene are associated with dentinogenesis imperfecta-1 and, in some individuals, an autosomal dominant form of deafness. Allelic differences due to repeat polymorphisms have also been reported.
