Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The GTF3A gene encodes a zinc finger protein containing nine Cys(2)-His(2) zinc finger domains. It functions as an RNA polymerase III transcription factor that induces transcription of 5S rRNA genes. The protein binds to a 50 bp internal promoter region (ICR) within 5S genes, initiating formation of a stable preinitiation complex. This complex recruits TFIIIC, TFIIIB, and RNA polymerase III to form the complete transcription complex. In mammals, the protein is believed to be translated from a non-AUG initiation site based on sequence and homology analyses.
