Target Information
SPINK1은 트립신 억제 단백질로, 췌장 내에서 트립신에 의한 전구효소의 조기 활성화를 방지하는 생리적 기능을 가집니다.
SPINK1의 결함은 췌장염(PCTT, MIM:167800)의 원인이 될 수 있으며, 이는 췌관 내 결석 형성과 심한 복통 발작을 유발합니다.
또한 SPINK1 결함은 열대 석회화성 췌장염(TCP, MIM:608189)에 대한 감수성과 관련이 있습니다. TCP는 열대 지역에서 흔히 발생하는 특발성, 청소년기, 비알코올성 만성 췌장염으로, 환경적 및 유전적 요인에 따라 섬유석회화성 췌장 당뇨병(FCPD)과 연관될 수 있습니다.
TCP는 알코올성 췌장염과 달리 발병 연령이 낮고, 췌장 석회화, 인슐린 의존성(케톤 저항성) 당뇨병의 높은 발생률, 그리고 췌장암의 높은 발생률이 특징입니다.
