Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Oncogene ERBB4 (HER4) belongs to the type I receptor protein tyrosine kinase family, which includes EGFR, ERBB2, and ERBB3.
ERBB4 is activated by neuregulins and NTAK, mediating various cellular responses such as mitogenesis, differentiation, and tyrosine phosphorylation.
It plays a critical role in cell signaling, metabolism, transcription regulation, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, apoptosis, and differentiation.

ERBB4 is predominantly expressed in breast carcinoma cell lines (T47-D, MDA-MB-453, BT-474, H3396) and in normal skeletal muscle, heart, pituitary, brain, and cerebellum.
Some breast tumor cell lines (MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-157, MDA-MB-468, SKBR-3) show low or no expression.
Elevated ERBB4 levels have been observed in certain tumor cell lines, suggesting a potential role in malignancy.
