Adiponectin은 지방세포에서만 분비되는 단백질 호르몬으로, 지질 및 포도당 대사를 조절합니다.
비만, 인슐린 저항성, 제2형 당뇨병 등과 연관되어 있으며, AMP kinase 및 PPAR-α 활성화를 통해 근육 내 지방산 산화 및 수송을 촉진하여 인슐린 감수성을 개선하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
