The monoclonal antibody UP-H2 recognizes human IREM-2 (immune receptor expressed in monocytic derived cells), also known as LMIR6, CD300E, and CD300LE.
IREM-2 is a member of the CMRF-35 family, a 34 kDa Ig-like receptor acting as an activating receptor via interaction with ITAM-containing adaptor proteins such as DAP12.
Expression is found exclusively on monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells (DCs), with transient expression during differentiation. Myeloid cell lines (THP-1, U937) do not express IREM-2.

In vitro, addition of UP-H2 antibody (soluble or crosslinked) stimulates monocytes.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

CD300e is a glycoprotein family member expressed on myeloid cells. It interacts with TYRO protein tyrosine kinase-binding protein and DAP-12, mediating activating signals.
Expression occurs on mature myeloid dendritic cells and monocytes, and is downregulated on immature dendritic cells.
Activation of CD300e enhances alloreactive T cell responses.
Associated conditions include tungiasis and lice infestation.
