Target Information
CD81 (TAPA-1, target of anti-proliferative antibody-1)은 tetraspanin 계열 단백질로, 대부분의 핵을 가진 세포에서 발현되며 특히 germinal center B 세포에서 높게 발현됩니다.
CD81은 다른 tetraspanin 단백질, integrin, coreceptor, MHC class I/II 분자와 복합체를 형성하여 B, T 세포의 부착, 형태, 활성화, 증식 및 분화에 영향을 미칩니다.
근육에서는 세포 융합과 myotube 유지에 관여하며, hepatitis C virus의 수용체로도 알려져 있습니다.
CD9, CD37, CD53, CD63, CD82 등과 같은 tetraspanin family 구성원은 4개의 소수성 도메인을 가지며, 세포 발달 및 이동 조절에 중요한 신호전달을 매개합니다.
CD81은 integrin과 복합체를 형성하고, CD19, CD21, Leu 13과 결합하여 chronic hepatitis C virus envelope protein E2의 수용체 역할을 합니다.
CD81에 대한 항체는 림프종 유래 세포주에서 항증식 효과를 나타내며, 종양 억제 유전자 영역에 위치하여 악성종양의 후보 유전자로 간주됩니다.
