The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

The UNC5H family of proteins act as transmembrane receptors for netrin-1 and play a crucial role in axon guidance and migration of neural cells. When cleaved by caspase to produce an intracellular fragment containing a death domain, UNC5H receptors can induce apoptosis, which is blocked by netrin-1 binding. In the absence of netrin-1, UNC5H receptors act as tumor suppressors by inhibiting anchorage-independent growth and invasion. Mutations in these receptors may contribute to tumorigenicity. Expression of UNC5H receptors is downregulated in multiple carcinomas, including colorectal, breast, ovary, uterus, stomach, lung, and kidney cancers. UNC5H1 (UNC5HA) is a member of this family, localized to the cell membrane, and exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing.
