Target Information
Securin 단백질은 효모의 securin과 상동성을 가지며, sister chromatid separation을 억제하는 separin의 활성 조절에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 APC(Anaphase-Promoting Complex)의 기질로 작용하며, 세포 분열 과정에서 separin과 결합 후 APC 활성화 시 분리됩니다.
Securin은 in vitro에서 변형 활성 및 in vivo에서 종양 유발 활성을 가지며, 다양한 종양에서 높은 발현을 보입니다. 2개의 PXXP motif와 D box를 포함하며, 이는 단백질의 변형, 종양 유발 및 APC에 의한 분해에 필수적입니다. 또한 산성 C-말단 영역은 전사활성화 도메인으로 기능합니다.
단백질은 주로 세포질에 존재하지만 일부는 핵에도 위치합니다.
