Target Information

CHEK1 (CHK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase involved in preventing replication when DNA integrity is compromised. CHK1 acts as a key mediator in the DNA damage-induced checkpoint network and ensures genomic integrity upon genotoxic stress. Inhibition of CHK1 leads to mitotic catastrophe in p53-deficient cancer cells, making CHK1 an attractive therapeutic target for cancer treatment.
