Target Information
SCUBE3는 N-말단 EGF-유사 반복과 C-말단 시스테인-풍부 모티프 및 CUB 도메인을 포함하는 분비성 당단백질 계열의 구성원입니다. 주로 골아세포 및 뼈 조직에서 높게 발현되며, 심장에서도 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
SCUBE3의 과발현은 생쥐에서 심장 비대를 유도하여 심장 성장 조절에도 관여할 가능성이 있습니다. 또한 SCUBE3는 내인성 TGF-β 수용체 리간드로 알려져 있으며, 폐암 세포의 이동성과 침습성을 촉진하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
폐암 세포에서 SCUBE3 단백질은 MMP2 및 MMP9에 의해 절단되어 TGF-β 수용체를 활성화하고, Smad2/3 전사 활성과 TGF-β1, VEGF, Snail, Slug 등의 단백질 발현을 증가시킵니다.
