Target Information
IRF3 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 3)는 type I interferon (IFN)-의존 면역 반응의 주요 전사 조절 인자로, DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천 면역 반응에서 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
IRF3는 IFN-alpha, IFN-beta 및 IFN-stimulated genes (ISG)의 전사를 조절하며, IFN-beta 유전자의 더 강력한 활성화 인자로 작용합니다.
감염되지 않은 세포에서는 비활성 상태로 존재하며, 바이러스 감염이나 double-stranded RNA, toll-like receptor 신호에 의해 IKBKE 및 TBK1에 의해 인산화되어 활성화됩니다.
활성화된 IRF3는 핵으로 이동하여 CREB binding protein과 결합해 dsRNA-activated factor 1 (DRAF1) 복합체를 형성, type I IFN 및 ISG 유전자 발현을 유도합니다.
IRF3 유전자 변이는 급성 감염 유발성 뇌병증 등의 질환과 관련될 수 있습니다.
