GenScript THE™ His Tag Antibody [HRP], mAb, Mouse is HRP-conjugated THE™ Anti-His Monoclonal Antibody (Mouse) (A00186), purified from mouse ascites using a Protein A affinity column.
This antibody is suitable for detecting His fusion proteins or His tags in various immunoassays.
Target Information
The 6x His tag is a synthetic oligopeptide consisting of six consecutive histidine residues (HHHHHH).
It is commonly expressed at either the N- or C-terminus of recombinant proteins to enable purification via immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC).
Epitope tagging allows detection of recombinant proteins lacking specific antibodies by fusing a known epitope sequence.
His-tagged proteins are purified through metal chelate chromatography due to the histidine cluster’s affinity for metal ions such as Ni²⁺.
His tag-specific antibodies are widely used for detection and co-immunoprecipitation of tagged proteins.
