Target Information
Members of the nuclear hormone receptor family, such as NR2C2, act as ligand-activated transcription factors. These proteins possess:
- An N-terminal transactivation domain
- A central DNA-binding domain with two zinc fingers
- A C-terminal ligand-binding domain
Upon activation, the receptor/ligand complex translocates to the nucleus and binds hormone response elements of target genes.
