Target Information
LHX1 encodes a member of the LIM domain protein family, characterized by a cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. The protein may function as a transcriptional regulator involved in differentiation and development of neural and lymphoid cells. In mice, a similar protein acts as an essential regulator of vertebrate head organizer formation.
