For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The POMC gene encodes a polypeptide hormone precursor that undergoes extensive, tissue-specific post-translational processing by prohormone convertases.
Depending on the tissue and available convertases, processing can yield up to ten biologically active peptides involved in various cellular functions.
Major peptides include adrenocorticotrophin (ACTH) and β-lipotropin, which play roles in steroidogenesis, adrenal maintenance, energy homeostasis, and immune modulation.
Mutations in this gene are linked to early-onset obesity, adrenal insufficiency, and red hair pigmentation.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
