Target Information
IL-1 receptor associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in signaling via Toll/IL-1 pathways. IRAK1 is rapidly recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex upon TLR activation. Association with MYD88 leads to phosphorylation by IRAK4 and subsequent autophosphorylation and kinase activation. IRAK1 can also phosphorylate TIRAP, promoting its ubiquitination and degradation, and phosphorylate IRF7 to induce activation and nuclear translocation, resulting in type I IFN gene transcription and antiviral response.
