• Applications Tested: Used for flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions; apply at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies commonly used in research and diagnostics. These antibodies, produced by rats in response to antigens, can be purified from serum or hybridoma culture supernatants. Rat IgG1 is often used as a negative control since it does not bind to most mammalian antigens. It is applicable in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting to detect specific antigens. Gene targeting using rat models enables the study of gene function and disease mechanisms by allowing gene knockout, insertion, or modification.
