OTUD7B는 비정형 NF-kappa-B 경로의 음성 조절자로, TRAF3의 탈유비퀴틴화를 매개하여 NF-kappa-B 경로의 과활성을 억제하고 B세포 반응을 조절합니다. 또한 ZAP70의 탈유비퀴틴화를 통해 T 세포 수용체 신호전달을 조절하며, T 세포 항상성과 정상적인 면역 반응(IFNG 및 IL2 생성 포함)에 필수적입니다. EGFR의 탈유비퀴틴화에도 관여하며, Lys-11, Lys-48, Lys-63 연결 유비퀴틴 사슬에 대해 탈유비퀴틴화 활성을 가집니다.
