Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
TRPM2 belongs to the ion transport protein family, which includes sodium, potassium, and calcium ion channels. These proteins possess six transmembrane helices, with the last two flanking a loop that determines ion selectivity. TRPM2 is activated by oxidative stress and contributes to cell death susceptibility. It functions as a calcium-permeable cation channel regulated by intracellular ADP-ribose. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of the TRPM2 gene have been described, though their full-length forms are not fully characterized.
