Target Information

TLR7 is a highly conserved membrane protein belonging to the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, containing 27 leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and a TIR domain. It plays a key role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLR7 is activated by single-stranded RNA viruses such as influenza and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). It is predominantly expressed in lung, placenta, and spleen, and is located near TLR8. TLR7 signals through MyD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappaB activation, cytokine secretion, and inflammatory responses. It recognizes pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) to mediate immune responses.
