Product Specific Information
- Recommended positive control: HPV type 16 infected cervix.
- Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections require high-temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) prior to immunostaining.
Target Information
L1 protein is a major capsid protein of HPV type 16.
HPV types 6 and 11 are associated with benign diseases such as genital warts, while types 16 and 18 are strongly linked to cervical, vaginal, and vulvar malignancies.
