Target Information
The DPP3 gene encodes a cytoplasmic metallopeptidase belonging to the M49 family. It binds a single zinc ion via the zinc-binding motif (HELLGH) and exhibits post-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase activity, cleaving Xaa-Pro dipeptides from protein N-termini. Elevated activity has been linked to endometrial and ovarian cancers. Multiple splice variants have been identified.
